Create and Remove Job Positions Features

Create Job Position feature

The Create Job Position feature is designed to create job positions that will be available for assignment to employees that are added to the shift scheduler.

On Give'em a Break's main dashboard interface, click the Create button to display the Create Job Position window. Enter a new job position into the textbox field and then click Create. The new job position will then populate within the Job Positions list. Click the Close button or the X (upper right corner) to close the Create Job Position window.

The newly created job position will now be available for assignment to employees. The job position can be selected in the Please Select... combo box drop down list that is located below the Current Position list on the main dashboard interface. The job position will also populate into each of the Position combo box drop down lists that are located within the First, Lunch and Last Break columns.

Example:

You have created a new job position named Line Cook and you want to assign this job position to Employee A. Click on Employee A in the Employees list to highlight that employee. Next, click the Please Select... combo box drop down list (that is located below the Current Position list) to expand that list. Select the Line Cook job position. The Line Cook job position will now be assigned to Employee A. *When assigning a job position to an employee for the first time, the job position will also be automatically assigned to the employee's First, Lunch and Last Break column Position too.

There is no limit to the amount of job positions that can be created.

Remove Job Position feature

The Remove Job Position feature is designed to remove job positions from the shift scheduler.

On Give'em a Break's main dashboard interface, click the Remove button to display the Remove Job Position window. Click on the job position name in the list to highlight it. Click the Remove button to remove the job position from the shift scheduler.

Important: When a job position is removed from the shift scheduler, the job position will be automatically unassigned from any applicable employees located in the Employees list or the Off Work list. Any employees that were assigned to the removed job position will need to be assigned to a different job position.

Click the Close button or the X (upper right corner) to close the Remove Job Position window.
