Modify Break Start Times Feature
The Modify Break Start Times feature is specifically designed to advance or subtract employees break start times using the same Minutes value. This dynamic flexible option allows managers to immediately and easily change multiple employees different break start times using the same amount of minutes for those selected employees. This feature bypasses the time consuming, cumbersome and frustrating experiences of having to change each individual employee's different break start time one at a time on the main dashboard interface. Example: The current time during the workday shift is 9:50am. All employee First Breaks are scheduled for a 15 minute break duration. Employees A, B and C have a scheduled First Break start time of 10:00am. Employees D, E and F have a scheduled First Break start time of 10:20am. A situation has occurred at work which has delayed the start of these employees First Breaks. The situation has been resolved and the current time during the workday shift is now 10:05am which is 5 minutes past the scheduled First Break start time of 10:00am for Employees A, B and C. Since Employees D, E and F breaks have been scheduled to follow and occur after Employees A, B and C complete their breaks, complete these steps to automatically and simultaneously advance these six employees First Break start times using the same amount of minutes. 1. Select the First Break option within the Break Section. 2. Highlight Employees A, B, C, D, E and F in the Employees list. 3. Select 10 minutes in the Minutes section drop down list. 4. Click the Advance button in the Modify Times section. Select Yes to the confirmation prompt to advance these six employees First Break start times. Give'em a Break will now automatically and simultaneously advance these six employees First Break start times by 10 minutes. The end result of these modifications have now re-scheduled the First Break start times for Employees A, B and C to 10:10am and the First Break start times for Employees D, E and F have been re-scheduled to 10:30am. These employees breaks are now scheduled ahead of the current workday shift time of 10:05am which puts them back on track and management's need for these employees to take their First Breaks at different times has still been satisfied. If you wanted to advance all employees First, Lunch and Last Breaks automatically and simultaneously by 10 minutes, you could have selected the All Breaks option instead of the First Break option within the Break Section.
